President/Captain’s Juniors’ Day

Dunnerholme Club President, Geoff Pearce, supported by Christine, organised his final President’s Juniors’ Day for fifteen excited Junior members.  The players divided into four teams played 4 holes using the now familiar Sixes scoring format. They produced some great golf with excellent scores across all the teams. 

There were drinks and sweets for the teams before the competition and everyone received a prize after play. They all enjoyed hotdogs and cakes afterwards, generously provided by Geoff and Chris.
Fund raising cards were won by Stuart McAloone and Andrew Laisby who both, graciously donated their prize back to Junior Section Funds. Special thanks to Geoff and Chris for arranging the Junior Day, who, as always, were supported by Dunnerholme’s team of Volunteers.
Esme Porter, on behalf of all the Junior Section both competitors and organisers, presented them with thank you gifts.

1^st Team Brough 97pts – Dexter, Arthur and Jack

2^nd Team Coverdale 90pts – Brad, Jonah, Oliver Laisby and Esme

3^rd Team Porter 87pts – Osca, Annie, Max and Theo

4^th Team Pearce 66pts – Oliver Pearce, Harry, George and Cleo

Individual Results:

Dexter Stoker won the individual prize with an amazing 29pts. 

The first winner of the new Geoff Pearce Junior Club Trophy was Morgan Postlethwaite. Morgan claimed first place with 23pts in the 9 hole Handicap Competition with Finley Longmire runner up. It is hoped that the Juniors will play for this trophy, annually, for many years to come.
