DUNNERHOLME JUNIOR CAPTAINS DAY – Friday 20th June<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On a glorious and sunny Friday afternoon, 24 juniors participated in this competition with two competitions running in parallel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 9-Hole handicap competition and a Sixes team event (inc a putting challenge)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Mr Captain and Lorraine kindly donated goody bags for all the juniors prior to playing and all cheered on the 9-Hole competitors on the 1st tee, before proceeding to their team competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The <\/a>teams 5 players of 4 (Teams – Brough, Clinton, Coverdale, Pearce & Porter) were supported by coaches, friends and family throughout the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Results – Team Event<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1st Team Porter – 274pts (Esme Porter, Theo Gordon, Myles Bradley, Harry Anderson)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2nd Team Pearce – 270pts<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3rd Team Clinton – 269pts<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4th Team Coverdale – 257pts<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5th Team Brough – 253pts<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the putting challenge<\/strong>, Evan Coward & George Kavanagh got holes in one with George top scoring with 45pts in a closely thought challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maggie Butler won the NTP on the 10th winning a prize donated by Derek Clinton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Handicap competition<\/strong> in very humid conditions, yet another close match:-<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1st Morgan Postlethwaite – 22pts<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2nd Max Porter – 21pts<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3rd Dexter Stoker – 18pts<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4th Sophie Ackred – 17pts<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The juniors were then treated to hot dogs and snacks kindly donated by Mr Captain & Lorraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Captain gave out the prizes which included medals for all competitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A great day was had by all and thanks go out to all juniors, helpers, coaches, parents who made this such a wonderful event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maggie Butler & George Kavanagh gave gifts to Mr Captain & Lorraine for putting on the event and their continued support to the junior section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
