On a sweltering Sunday afternoon, five local teams took to the links to play the season finale, all chasing the coveted Sixes League Title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In hot & humid conditions, all players performed admirably on a well presented course. With all scores being closely monitored with only a couple of points separating 1st & 3rd place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2nd Place \u2013 Dunnerholme Greens \u2013 122pts<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4th Place \u2013 Grange Fell \u2013 117pts<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5th Place \u2013 Dunnerholme Oranges \u2013 103pts<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All participants of the Sixes tournament received a certificate of achievement presented by team managers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another tremendous achievement by the Greens who have won the Sixes Trophy for the third time in a row!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lady Captain, Karen Currie presented the runner up medals to the juniors from Ulverston and Mr Captain, Dave Coverdale presented the winners medals and trophy to the victorious Dunnerholme Green team which included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Junior Captain \u2013 Morgan Postlethwaite, Harry Mason, Max Porter, Oliver Pearce, Annie Coward, Jonah Rigg & Libby Tyson<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greens Staff for the excellent course conditions<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Irene & ladies for the delicious buffet. Craig & Bethan Southward for the kind gesture of ice creams & ice lollies for the juniors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All coaches and helpers on the day (Martin Porter, Alan Bolton, Andrew Laisby, Lady Captain, Mr Captain, Chris Pearce, Mark Tyson, Liz Dixon & Gordon Brackwell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The juniors now look forward to coaching sessions leading up to upcoming competitions in July, namely Captain\u2019s Junior Competition (6th July) and Junior Captain\u2019s Competition (20th July).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
