Junior 6’s Match – 21st June 2026

On a sweltering Sunday afternoon, five local teams took to the links to play the season finale, all chasing the coveted Sixes League Title.

In hot & humid conditions, all players performed admirably on a well presented course. With all scores being closely monitored with only a couple of points separating 1st & 3rd place.

Match Result:

1st Place – Barrow – 123pts

2nd Place – Dunnerholme Greens – 122pts

3rd Place – Ulverston – 121pts

4th Place – Grange Fell – 117pts

5th Place – Dunnerholme Oranges – 103pts

Medal Winners for Oranges – Maggie Butler & Rowan Postlethwaite

All participants of the Sixes tournament received a certificate of achievement presented by team managers.

Overall League Leaderboard for 2026

1st – Dunnerholme Greens – 22.5pts

2nd – Ulverston – 17.5pts

3rd – Barrow – 17pts

4th – Grange Fell – 11pts

5th – Dunnerholme Oranges – 10pts

Another tremendous achievement by the Greens who have won the Sixes Trophy for the third time in a row!!!

Lady Captain, Karen Currie presented the runner up medals to the juniors from Ulverston and Mr Captain, Dave Coverdale presented the winners medals and trophy to the victorious Dunnerholme Green team which included:

Junior Captain – Morgan Postlethwaite, Harry Mason, Max Porter, Oliver Pearce, Annie Coward, Jonah Rigg & Libby Tyson

The juniors now look forward to coaching sessions leading up to upcoming competitions in July, namely Captain’s Junior Competition (6th July) and Junior Captain’s Competition (20th July).
