Betty Blamire Junior Competition

“On a sunny, but blustery day 12 juniors took part in the new junior Competition held in memory of past Ladies Captain Betty Blamire.

8 Juniors played a 9-Hole comp off the Red Tees whilst 4 juniors played a sixes format over 6 holes.

Despite the windy conditions some great golf was played and some amazing scores, results as follows:

9-Hole Competition

1st – George Kavanagh – 18pts

2nd – Finley Shenton – 12pts

3rd – Maggie Butler – 11pts

Sixes Competition

1st – Ollie Ritchie – 41pts

2nd – Rowan Postlethwaite – 40pts

3rd – Leo Darby – 28pts

A big thank you to all the coaches and parents for supporting the juniors but special mention and thankyou to Mike Blamire and Kathryn Shenton for hosting the event and the provision of goody bags, snacks and prizes, inc an amazing winner’s trophy.

Mr Captain presented Kathryn with flowers and Mike a Dunnerholme Cap and thankyou cards as a token of the Junior Sections appreciation of their wonderful gesture.”
