Welcome Junior Captain

Monday 13th April was our Welcome Junior Captain event for Morgan Postlethwaite. Thirty two juniors joined the celebrations to see Morgan ‘drive in’ their 2026 golfing season. Prior to the drive, the juniors walked out onto the fairway and placed their ball where they expected Morgan’s drive to land. Closest ball to Captains drive, won the prize! Unfazed by the large crowd, Morgan hit a great drive.

’Drive in’ was followed by a short coaching session before everyone returned to the clubhouse to enjoy food provided by Morgan’s family and the Presentation of Club Tie and gifts for Morgan.

A new initiative for 2026 is ‘Junior of the Month’ and the selected junior received a Certificate and Trophy, kindly made by Karl Orrell. This months lucky recipient was Jack Ritchie for his determination, his willingness to listen to the coaches and always with a smile on his face. Well done Jack. A great celebration, enjoyed by everyone.
