Family QUIZ Night

Lady Captain Gill Newsome’s busy ‘events calendar’ continued when a packed Clubhouse enjoyed the Family Quiz Night. The charity event raised much needed funds and also raised awareness for our Captains charities for 2023 – the British Heart Foundation and Furness Prostrate Cancer. Members of the Furness Prostrate Cancer Group fielded the winning Quiz team, the Walnuts. The quiz featured topics for everyone. Specialist rounds on Disney, Video Games and Dr Who were all very competitive but the winning team had a Dr Who expert, who made just one mistake in the entire round! Gill added a new addition to her Quiz format with Rock & Roll Bingo. The format still played for ‘lines’ and ‘full houses’ but instead of numbers, music is played. A fantastic fun evening, enjoyed by all, with £110 raised for the Captains Charities.
