Junior GolfSixes League

Dunnerholme Golf Club was the host venue of the GolfSixes League, June event. 36 Junior Members from Barrow, Ulverston and Dunnerholme took part in the competition, while spectators, supporters, family and friends enjoyed the game. After a shotgun start, the competition got underway and the threat of heavy rain didn’t affect the players concentration. It was late into the game when the downpours began but the competitors were prepared and keen to finish their matches. After the game the players enjoyed the refreshments provided by Tracy and the ‘Platform One’ Team, while they eagerly awaited the final match results – Barrow Navy 125 points, Dunnerholme Green 117 points, Dunnerholme Orange 111 points, Barrow Blue 111 points, Ulverston Red 110 points, Ulverston Black 110 points. Once again the Juniors were a credit to their clubs, progressing and improving with every event. Congratulations to all our team members who took part either playing or supporting.
This months medals were awarded to Amber Butler and Finley Porter of the Green Team for course etiquette and decision making. For the Orange Team, Max Porter, Aston McAloone, Jonah Rigg and Sam Stokes for both teams scoring 40 points.

The Junior Sections next event will take place on Monday3rd July at 5pm at Dunnerholme – Captains Junior 9hole Competition and a 4hole 6’s format Competition. Good luck to all players.
