Junior Section ‘6’s News

Dunnerholme Junior Section have entered two teams in the Junior ‘6’s League for 2023 – Orange Team and Green Team. First match of the season took place at Ulverston GC in May and this weeks match was played at Barrow GC. The perfect golfing conditions were enjoyed by both the players and the many spectators, who were able to witness just how much the Juniors are growing in confidence. The improvements shown by our Junior teams in their golfing skills, commitment to the game and their friendships was just outstanding. 
Medal winners for the ‘Green Team’ were Emmie and Ruby Burley with 40points, narrowly beating Bobby Salisbury and Dexter Stoker who also had 40points. The final result was decided by the girls scoring a 2 on the 2nd hole. Amazing scoring!
Medal winners for the ‘Orange Team’ were Max Porter and Jacob Whalley, who only joined the section in January. Their excitement at receiving their award was wonderful to see – first of many!

Well done to the players in all teams and everyone involved. Once again, Dunnerholme Juniors were a credit to themselves, their Coaches and the Club. 
Thank you to Barrow GC for hosting the competition and also to Ulverston GC for last months event. The next match will take place at home, at Dunnerholme GC on Sunday 25th June.
