Our Amazing Volunteers

In recognition of their many years of dedication, support and volunteering at Dunnerholme Golf Club, two of our members have received nominations in the Volunteer of the Year category at the recent England Golf Awards 2024. Hundreds of entries were received from golf clubs around the country and although they didn’t make the final short list, both Ged Dixon and Derek Clinton received Certificates from England Golf.

Since the Junior section was reformed three years ago, Derek has been assisting, coaching and ensuring our Juniors have fun whilst learning the game. Sadly, for health reasons, Derek has stepped down from the Junior assistant coach role but we know he will continue to support where possible.

Ged Dixon is our current Greens Chairman and has been in that role for over 15 years. He both manages and works alongside our Greens Team. His dedication to continually improve the course for both members and visitors is outstanding and we all benefit from his experience and expertise.

We are extremely grateful and lucky to have a large group of volunteers that help out in all areas at Dunnerholme. They give up their time and their skills in support of us all. We are very proud that two of our team got the recognition they truly deserve! To Derek, Ged and all our amazing volunteers -we salute you. Thank you.
