Juniors – Frank Stokes Trophy

On a glorious, but chilly, September evening junior section members competed for the Junior Frank Stokes – Par 3 Challenge Trophy. Prior to the competition, as a mark of respect to Queen Elizabeth II, one minutes silence was observed and you could have heard a pin drop.

The competition was played in pairs, with 22 members taking part. The winning duo scoring an impressive 45 points was Amelia (Millie) Butler and Dexter Stoker. It took a card play off to separate the placings, with second place going to Amber Butler and Morgan Postlethwaite 44 points, and third, Finley Longmire and Marc Kavanagh with 44 points. Aston McAloone won the Best Etiquette prize for good sportsmanship and impeccable manners. The prizes were presented by Janet Stokes, Rachel Butler and Club Captain Bill Brough. Well done to the prize winners and to everyone who took part.

Frank’s family – Janet, Rachel and Kimberley provided a wonderful buffet after the game and the prizes/trophies for the Presentation table. Junior Organiser Irene Brough offered sincere thanks to all the Stokes family for their continued support of Dunnerholme Golf Club.
